ANNUAL SERVICE CONTRACTS

Annual maintenance for air conditioners and furnaces is crucial for ensuring that your HVAC unit is working at maximum efficiency, usage, and safety. In fact, annual maintenance on HVAC equipment can help it live for an additional two to six years—meaning that your equipment will last even longer. Extended lifespan is only one reason why annual services are so important for HVAC systems, however.

Benefits of Annual HVAC Maintenance

While extending the lifespan of your HVAC system is a very good reason to sign up for annual maintenance with your preferred HVAC repair company, there are numerous benefits to enrolling in this kind of service.

One of the biggest benefits of annual maintenance is that your system will run more efficiently. As dust, dirt, and other gunk builds up in your HVAC system, everything starts to run a little less efficiently; this kind of build-up tends to happen when units have sat without running for extended periods of time, such as the off-season.

Keeping up with maintenance can also keep your warranty valid. Many manufacturers require proof that you are having annual maintenance performed when you submit a claim to the warranty. Save yourself some money by keeping your HVAC system under its warranty.

Air quality can be negatively affected by the lack of annual maintenance. With dust and other gunk building up in your HVAC system, you are more likely to breathe in air pollutants that are floating through the air in your home. In fact, the EPA estimates that indoor air pollution can be two to fives times higher than the air pollution outdoors. For people with asthma, breathing in this air can be dangerous, so having the system properly cleaned and maintained is crucial to good health. Regular maintenance also helps your HVAC system better distribute the air in your home.

Finally, regular maintenance is a great way to ensure that your system is running safely. You can reduce the risk of carbon monoxide problems in your home due to a failing or cracked heat exchanger. Additionally, regular maintenance can prevent emergency calls from frozen or burst pipes and other similar issues.

Discounts are a major benefit for signing up for a Cates Heating and Cooling’s Comfort Club, which is an exclusive club for those who sign up for annual HVAC maintenance.
